White Chili with Ground Turkey
Browned ground turkey and cannellini beans are combined with green chilies, onion and garlic in this chicken stock based soup seasoned with cumin, oregano and cinnamon. Serve with grated jack cheese.
This ground turkey chili is made with great Northern beans, salsa, corn, and pepper-jack cheese. It is very tasty and a little spicy; if you don't like it spicy, cut the amount of cheese in half--it will still have a little kick!
Ground turkey and Great Northern beans are spruced up with green chiles and green enchilada sauce creating a warm and easy white chili.
Chicken breasts and Great Northern beans are simmered with green chiles and served with sour cream for a creamy white chili perfect for a cold night.
Easier than White Chili. The ground Turkey seemed to take on the Tex-Mex flavor of the dish.
I've had better white chili, namely with shredded chicken instead of ground meat, and I thought the cinnamon in this recipe overpowered the rest of the flavors. The cheese also adds a lot of calories.
So delish!! I like my chili a little thicker though so next time I will do 2 lbs of ground turkey, only 4 cups of chicken broth, and get 4 cans of cannellini beans puree-ing 2 of the cans. I also added 1 tsp of cayenne pepper and found that it was the perfect amount of heat. Thanks for this one I will definitely make it again soon!
This was DELICIOUS!!! It's a good white chili base recipe then just adjust the amount of liquids, spices etc. to your liking. The changes I made were to only use 3 Cups chicken broth, I halved all the spices since my husband does not like spicy foods, I also thickened with equal parts cornstarch and water. I also really liked the subtle cinnamon flavor it blended very nicely with the oregano, cayanne, and cumin. We will definitely be having this chili again and again. Thank you!!!!!
